Frequently asked questions

Most asked

The TimeFlies Spread trading results seem too good to be true. Are those real trades?

Absolutely. I do not use hypothetical or simulated results.

For the purposes of transparency, I have a dedicated Plenitude Trading brokerage account for trading TimeFlies Spreads using 1 contract. I maintain a results page that mirrors the trades I’ve taken in that account.

The trading statements for the account are saved and can be produced (with some information redacted) to prove any particular trade was executed.

I've heard selling naked options is risky. Is that what you're doing?

You're correct - selling naked options can be risky. A sudden volatility expansion could wipe out your account if you're over-leveraged.

The good news is that trading TimeFlies Spreads does not involve selling naked options.

All my trades have defined risk. Of course any trade can lose - that's trading - but I'm never in the situation where my account is at risk due to an unforeseen event.

Can you recommend a broker for options trading?

I use tastytrade. I think they're awesome! You can sign up for a tastytrade account here.
